About

This site serves as a guestbook for friends, family and coworkers who would like to share memories — and perhaps new ideas — about Billie Underwood.  To contribute, just create a comment on an appropriate page.

Billie’s departure was sudden.

I’ll be adding a more sensible organization and much more content in coming weeks and months.  Some of you know that I hosted a family website a couple years ago, and I’ll be restoring some of that content here, and some of that content on a family site elsewhere.

Suggestions are welcome.  You can write me at knowlengr at gmail.com or Tweet to @knowlengr. If you would like me to scan photos and post them, I’m happy to do that.  (I also recommend an Arizona-based commercial service who can convert large or small quantities of photos and other content to digital formats).

A Favorite Song

“Some Other Drum” was one of her favorite songs. Written by Sean Bonniwell for the Music Machine

Mothers of Six Children and Other More Modest Achievements

In her memoir, Shonda Rhimes speaks of her mother’s mid-life career changes — despite the time commitments of raising six children. Who does that remind you of?
